“ Brand: JR / Type: Small Pet Food „
I have a very fussy degu who, due to dental issues, has become a selective feeder over time and had refused other pellet type foods. The variety of pellet shapes and mixed dried veg/grasses keeps him interested and he empties his bowl quite happily. I have also noticed since starting this food he has put on noticeable condition to his fur and overall appearance. Very happy, I would recommend.
recipes are formulated with chicory, a source of natural prebiotics, which has been proven to help increase the number of good bacteria in the gut and help improve digestive health. After 30 days of feeding , the good bacteria, bifidobacteria, may be multiplied by 100 times, helping to support your dog’s healthy digestion.

I got a bit fed up of asking my boyfriend to go and pick up my hamster food, as I work a lot and do not have a pet shop right near me, he used to go pick me some food up after he finished work. So I had a little browse online to see if I could find any that would come delivered. As I had used zooplus before I thought I would have a look there, which is where I saw this.
It comes in a 500g for £2.99 or you can get 3 500g bags for just £7.99, as you do get charged for shipping on orders under £19 I get 3 bags at a time which makes it worth the delivery charges. Well it is only £2.90 which is less than it would cost me on the busses to go pick it up myself. The food normally comes with 3 days, so I always make sure I order it before I get low on food. The bags do seem to last quite a few weeks, and I have 2 hamsters to feed so they are worth the money that you pay for them.
Taken from the website this food contains Corn, wheat, vitamin pellets, corn flakes, oats, peanuts, sunflower seeds, grain extrudates, meat pellets, broad bean flakes, pea flakes, peas, carob, popped wheat, pumpkin seeds, bananas, raisins, oat corners.
The food and opinion
To be honest the only main food I would recognize in this is the peanuts, the only thing is this is probably the one that you get least of in the bad, and the one the hamsters seem to enjoy more than the other things. The nuts are in shells that they have to crack open, and they seem to love having to work that little bit harder to get their food out.
Obviously I can not really comment on the food myself as it is not something I would not be eating, but the hamsters do really seem to enjoy their food, and a small bowl does not seem to last them too long, although they do store it also in their house. They have always eaten it though with no problems and the bags do seem to lasta while, so for the price I pay even with delivery charges I find it a very good bargain, and would recommend it to anyone to buy.
Complete food for hamsters.
