My moto is that I will never feed by dog something that doesn't smell good enough for me and I wasn't disappointed when I bought a tin of this at the London Pet Show recently. I bought 3 tins (all different flavours) for £5 but that was a show special. Doing market research I have found the price per tin generally ranges from £2.15-£2.60 for a 400g tin, which is a little pricy (particularly if you have a large dog) but for my 16kg cross breed I had to give him just over half a tin in the evening, with kibble in the morning. Rather than disrupt the tin balance I gave Rafa 1/2 a tin with a small amount of kibble one evening and then the same the next night. The tins don't really lend themselves to working out portions with ease, which is a negative.
The food itself: well as soon as i opened the tin i smelt what smelt like corned beef! It smelt lovely and Rafs nose was twitching straight away. It is of quite a solid texture, but fairly smooth unlike the cheaper chunky dog foods. You could clearly see lumps of potato, carrot and peas imbedded in the meat.
As soon as i put it to the floor rafa had demolished it- the bowl was licked clean! I will encourage this product as an occasional treat because of the price, unless you are well off or have a tiny dog- then your dog can enjoy the luxury everyday!
