Advantages: Good nutritionally and helps wear down teeth.

Disadvantages: Can only be given once a week.

I have never really been a pet person, preferring to concentrate on cleaning up the mess my two ids make, without to start cleaning and looking after pets too, so after my husband (in his infinite wisdom!) decided to buy our children a guinea pig each, I wasn't too over the moon!

After a few days however they have quite changed my mind, and I know call them "the babies", with them getting the love and attention that any other would do in my house, with the treats being the same too, hence this review!

The product I will now review is -"Rotastak - 3x carrot nibble sticks".

Now I initially purchased these just for the fact they enjoy carrots so much, so was hoping these would go down as well, which thankfully they did!

After reading the back of the box, these are suitable for guinea pigs, hamsters, gerbils, mice and rats.

The three bars (to me anyway!), look like very seedy cereal bars, shaped into an oblong shape, complete with a plastic hanging hook, this not only gives the animals something to eat treat wise, but keeps the food of the floor where they obviously have to "do their business" but also makes them work for their food, meaning they get less bored, giving them something to play with.

Although there are no lists of exactly what these bars contain, there is a vast array f seeds and nuts, with of course the added carrot and what I can only assume as honey or some type of shiny gelling agent to hold it all together, needless to say these are meant to compliment a small animals diet, providing essential fibre and carbohydrates for general health and well being, but should only be given once a week, anymore may upset the animals tummies and counter the good effects intended.

The last thing is obviously with how hard the nibble bar is, this is perfect for helping smaller animals to gnaw the teeth down, with this being essential as small animals teeth keep growing, my two chomble so much to grind their teeth down, that it looks like they are actually holding conversations with each other!

Price wise these are available from around the £1.00 mark, and can be [purchased from any good pet shop, or from Asda which is where I get mine, with there being two "flavours" available.

These are a lovely addition to the babies feeding times, and they really enjoy them, with one being eaten within an hour!

Thanks for reading x
