Wilko Meadow Hay Rolls
Advantages: Look good, good idea healthy snacks
Disadvantages: My lot didn't like em at all!
One of my favourite pasttimes is to buy my lovely little hamsters to treats. I have 5 hamsters in total now, Trevor, Englebert (his son), Reg, Eric and my latest little princess Winifred. I'm always buying them something or other and guess I spoil them rather alot really lol.
There are lots of treats and things about for rodents now. In fact I've noticed loads more popping up all over the place. I buy alot of things for my lot in my local Wilkinson store as I live near one and browse in there often.
These hay rolls are just that, basically they're just hay, meaow hay to be precise! At £3.49 for 7 small rolls I did feel that was a little on the expensive side but hey I thought my lot were worth it!
The packaging these come in is simple. They come tightly wrapped (in fact its a bit of a pain to remove) see through plastic with a label on the front of it telling us that they are indeed Wilko 7 Meadow Hay Rolls for rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas and all small animals and then on the back of the label the compostition of them is given and contact details for Wilkinsons are listed.
The Hay Rolls:
Small, dark green and they smell hay like. They are shaped like polo mints, are rather thick and have a hole in the middle of each one of them. They're a good size for little paws though a bit big for my lot to stuff in their cheek pouches, not that they ever even tried lol. Although I initially thought they were expensive I did feel they were good quality with no additives and things and had high hopes my lot would appreciate them...but no they did not!
Obviously my lot don't appreciate low energy, high fibre munchable hay. Not one of my hamsters when I approached them with these showed the slightest bit of interest in them, unlike chocolate drops and the likes so I shoved them one each in their cages. Nope not even a sniff, in fact no interest was given to these at all.
I don't know why my 5 don't like them though but no nibble marks were in one single hay roll leaving me just being clear that they don't like them so I binned them. I can't understand why but there you go my lot gave these a huge thumbs down and I wasted my cash...once again lol.
Onl available in Wilkinsons or from Wilkinsonsplus.com
Summary: Not sure why they hated them but they really did!
