 ... at as I know many owners believe petplan to be the only "lifelong" insurer yet AXA is another option and frequently cheaper than Petplan. I also had a look at Petplan and similar cover was at a cost of £26 a month!!! As for how easily they pay...more

When I got my pug puppy I knew it was important to get him insured. I also knew that it was important to chose an insurer who offered proper lifelong cover as opposed to many of the other companies which only offer limited cover. My AXA insurance cost approximately £190 for the year with an excess of £50. This included up to £7000 of treatment per year for the whole of your pet's life, complementary treatments up to £250, vet's fees abroad up to £1,000, behaviour therapy up to £250, clinical diets up to £200 and holiday cancellation cover up to £3,000.
