Advantages: Very efficient - requested claim form online and received it next day.
Disadvantages: None found as of yet!
Our family has always had 2 Yorkshire terrier, At the start of the year 2008 sadly Pippa our Yorkshire terrier who we have had since she was 6 years old died at 10 years :( very sad even until today, After she died there was a massive gap in our life's and we have never had pet insurance before so seeing pippa past away was a big eye opener in case our other dog Jake got ill. So we decided to get a new puppy called daisy (in my picture) and that's when we started to search the internet for pet insurance, We searched many sites and they were all to expensive for what they were then we saw healthy pets they seemed a lot cheaper I mean from £15 to like £6on healthy pets at this cheap price we were suspicious I have to say.
But after taking the time to look up reviews we saw the company had a good reputation, and lucky they covered dogs 8 years old as Jake was starting to get old. We took out gold insurance for daisy with £5000 vet's bills insurance and £3000 for Jake. I think the prices were £5 a month for Jake and £6 for daisy. So that didn't seem bad. This was around may time 2008.
In September my brother was stoking Jake and noticed a lump around his bum lol. at first we didn't think much of it but it began to grow, We when to the vets as we were now covered and actually had a chance of affording there high bills, Sure enough Jake had something wrong inside of his bum (one off this muscles had ripped apart and poo was going inside his body when he tried to do his business) The vet looked concerned and by his face we knew it would be expensive and this was in September so we hadn't had insurance for long to say the least we were worried.
Boths sides of his muscle had gone but one was still strong enough so they operated on one side first to see if the other was strong enough we filled out the form for healthy pets insurance which I may add took 1 DAY to arrive
It was easy to fill out.
After Jake had his operation we got the bill £1000+ we were worried after only being with healthy pets for around 4 months, After a week of waiting we were relieved to find out that had paid the whole amount. (And we were glad that we took out the insurance)
After jakes operation we found out the other side of his bum was to weak so another £1000 operation later he was better the same as before 1 day for the form and 1 week they had paid out!
The bill in total was around £2500 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And without healthy pets I sadly have to say we may of had to have Jake put to sleep.
Only after about 4 months paid cover at £5 = £20
They paid out £2500!!!!!
Its pretty much going to be impossible for them to claim that back though jakes policy as it will take around 12 years of cover! And jakes already 9 now lol.
But I would recommend this company, you may think cheap is not always best but in this case it was, we hope to insurance any future dogs we have with them.
And we know deep down Jake would not be alive without them.
If you need insurance go to there website its easy to fill out and your are insured quickly.

There customer service is brilliant and they are always over the phone to take calls.
As well I have heard cat insurance is very cheap even around £3 and month for silver cover, which doesn't seem bad.
And dogs around £5-£7 for small breed I don't know about large.
Even If you don't currently have insurance or can't afford a lot I would recommend bronze at least you have that £1000 cover. Don't leave your pet uninsured and run the risk of upset when a pet dies it's a part of the family....
There is an excess but I don't think it's a lot.
So this review is my first not to have a negative as I have been fully satisfied with the company and hope to keep it that way!
10/10
Summary: Don't run the risk of no insurance !!!! go with healthy pets

- 03/02/09 As fourpaws said, you might want to take a look at the cut and paste bits as they are really hard to understand. You could always just put in the basic prices and point people to the website for the details |
