A hassle-free company with good claims experience (Pet Plan)

Advantages: A well know long established company that specialise in pets covers

Disadvantages: Expensive compare to what other companies are offering

My two Cats (Monty and Lou) has been with Pet plan for 3 years until last August. My experience with them has been very good. The premium at the time was about £13 each for them and I thought it was reasonable. Lou had been poorly almost right after we get the cover and require expensive treatment. One was an allergy test which costed around £500 and various other ones which range from £60-£200, all the treatments were claimed back successfully with any fuss from Pet plan. It was a simple filling in the paperwork and payment are always on time. With Monty, he also needed to have his tooth taken out and that was around £300, after paying £60 excess, I managed to claim the rest back which is difficult at times with other companies with dental work. Although I was satisfied with their services, I can't help but compare th prices which is a lot more than what others are offering and just because of that reason, I have cancelled the policies with them and is currently paying £5 per cat with the similar cover condition with pet plan's policy. I will be happy to go back if they could match what others can offer especially when I was with them for years.
