I have used Pet Plan to insure my kittens, when I sell them - this gives 6weeks cover to the new owner, at no cost to them or me. Very recectly someone had two kittens from me, which were insured for 6 weeks, as a kitten cover note policy - which covers for Vets fees, DEATH BY ILLNESS OR INJURY,loss by theft or straying, & for advertising & reward.
The owner was informed that the policy was due for renewal - & did it over the phone. She was only advised of one level of insurance, so accepted it.
A fortnight ago, one of the cats was killed in a road accident, & because the lady was very upset, I phoned Pet plan on her behalf - & they offered to send her a claim form. As I gave the Policy number & they verified her address, they obviously could check her level of cover. She received a claim form, completed it & sent it off -- only to have a curt note back, to say that her cat was not covered,& when she phoned to query it, was told very rudely that `she should have read the policy properly !!She naturally thought that the renewal would offer the same level of cover as the Kitten policy - which most people would. I tried to get an explaination - without success.
I may still offer kitten cover notes, but will explain that when the renewal is due -- GO SOMEWHERE ELSE !

Hi and welcome to dooyoo. I've always found PetPlan to be good, but I know they have their limitations! Sue :)
