I have five dogs which we have accumulating over a number of years and seeing as I had Tesco Pet Insurance for the first one, just kept adding the successive dogs to the policy. That was fine until I had to use the policy for one of our dogs to have an xray which cost over £100. I claimed on the insurance policy which was easy enough as I could give all the details over the phone. The problem came in trying to chase Tesco to reimburse me for the cost of this procedure. We had claimed for £50 back from the policy after we had taken our excess of £60 off and had to wait about four weeks to be reimbursed. We were lucky as the amount we were claiming was not going to break the bank, but, had our situation been different or we had been claiming for a large amount, four weeks would have been a very long time to wait indeed.
