Advantages: lots of vitamins,cheap.

Disadvantages: The smell !

I thought i would get my dog codie a change this week and while shopping in asda i picked her up a tin of asda hero dog food with chicken and rice.

They are 35p a tin or you can have 7 tins for 2.00 special offer at the moment.

They come in various flavours , and you can buy them in gravy or jelly .

They also sell dog food especially for puppies,age after puppies and senior food.

~ Nutrition information ~

It contains zinc , b vitamins and natural oils , all essential for healthy skin and shiny coats.

It has fats and carbohydrates for energy.

Protein which helps with growth and muscle development.

Blend of essential nutrients to help support the immune system.

Select blend of vitamins to promote healthy eyes

High quality ingredients which help with the absorption of key ingredients

For small dogs feed 1-2 tins a day
Medium dogs 2-3 tins a day
Large dogs 3 -5 tins a day

That is what is recommended your dog has so that it is full up and is healthy and so it gets all its vitamins.

~ My opinion ~

The chicken and rice tin , like all the tins it has a pull thing on the top like cans of pop do , so you don,t have to open with a can opener .

On opening the tin i got a strong whiff but i can,t put my finger on what it smells like but its not a nice smell.

One good thing was it wasn,t sloppy like some dog foods can be , it looked very meaty and my dog did seem to enjoy it.

I would give my dog this food again as for a own brand name it seems to have all the same vitamins in as a lot of the top brand makes.
