Advantages: Cheaper that some of the leading brands

Disadvantages: Smells fowl and lingers around for days

I know that it states that you have to actually try the product yourself, but forgive me, I can honestly say I have not myself ate this cat food, instead my two cats Mylo and Malachi have tried and tested probably every brand of cat food there is.

As you can guess this is a slightly cheaper brand of cat food, ASDA's own brand which they have names Tiger. A box of twelve sachets usually costs around £2.09. It comes in the forms of Tins, Sachets and foil tins. However I have never seen the foil tins, unless they are scooped up in an instant at my local ASDA. They also do this in Kitten and senior cat food. You can also get a 48 pack which costs around £10 which is a great saving if your cats eat it.

The flavours are pretty standard, chicken in jelly, Beef in Gray etc. You can get a box of jelly, gravy or a mixture with Jelly and Gravy as well as Fish, poultry and also a mixture of all different flavours. You usually find that the standard is three sachets of the same flavour in the 12 pack, so it's four different flavours in each mixed 12 pack of Tiger cat food.

The Sachet packs are usually quite easy to open although you do get the odd one that takes some force to open. The Box that it comes in is easy to open as well, no need to be fighting with the box or get the kitchen scissors out to actually get into the sachets.

The quality of the cat food it's self is apparent instantly of being slightly cheaper in value. The cat food in Jelly comes out in one big clump, and the cat food in gravy is swimming in gravy, and it seems to have less chunks of meat in it compared to the jelly cat food.

The only thing that puts me off this cat food is the smell. It has got to be the most fowl smelling cat food there is and it lingers around the house for ages. The fowl smell is instant as soon as you open the sachets. I thought that this may die down but it never seems to go away. Even the empty packets that you place in the dust bin smell disgusting and linger around the kitchen. It has now gotten that bad that my cat Malachi refuses to even eat the cat food, so it turns out to be a waste of money for us in the end.

All in all, this is a slightly cheaper version of a cat food, you may find this to be a great value if you cat's can stomach it and you can stick with the fowl smell. It has actually taken me a while to realise why we do not buy this cat food any more because the price tends to lure us in every time, I can not stress how disgusting the smell is, hopefully ASDA will improve this product ,or at least it's smell, soon

Summary: I can't stomach the smell.
