A great priced cat food that they actually like (Asda Tiger Dry Food with Salmon, Tuna & Shrimp)

Advantages: My cat loves it and it's dirt cheap

Years ago when I first got my cat Ollie I naturally wanted what was best and so bought the top of the range cat food for him, nothing was too good for my baby after all.

I saw food such as this as sub-standard and couldn't imagine it would be any where near the quality that the top brand food was.

However circumstances changed and it meant that I could barely afford to feed myself and my children which meant the expensive cat food had to go.

Whilst shopping in Asda I noticed these on the shelf at only 55p for the small box, £1.13 for the large box and £3.57 for a huge 4kg bag.

As my cat is very very fussy and has been used to having the best food I picked up a small box not expecting him to eat him.

When I got home I put in in Ollie's bowl and he gobbled it up straight away. I was amazed it normally took him quite a while to finish a meal as he likes to have a few mouthfull's at a time but not this. He loved it.

I intially felt quite guilty at buying the cheaper food, might sound silly I know by my cat really is like my child and I want the very best for him.

However he seamed to be loving the food and it was having great benifts for him.

His teeth are lovely and clean, his coat shiny and his eyes bright. He is very healthy and loving this food. He eats less then he used to now also as this seams to fill him much more then the more expensive brands ever did.

I was very impressed and wondered why had I been paying a small fortune for the expensive food when this competes very well.

I am now in a better financial situation and just the other day bought a box of his old favourite food, when I put a bowl of each on the floor he went straight for this and left the other food untouched.

I now buy this food all the time and it's great. I'm happy and my cat is happy.

No longer will I assume the more expensive brands are the best, it's true what they say you pay for the name!
