I have a eight week old black labrador puppy called Max.
When I brought him home two weeks ago the breeder had weaned him onto cudleys, but because my first dog kylie was on bakers, I ended up putting Max on bakers puppy.
First of all let me say Bakers puppy food is easily available a most supermarkets and pet food shops.
After reading soo many reviews saying its proberly one of, or even the first worst food to feed your dog, I am shocked that it seems so popular.
We rehomed kylie when she was four years old and had always been on bakers with no problems, until she got older that we fed she on nutro choice light as she got a bit overweight and was not as active as she used to be.
We tried max on bakers with a little water, just to soften the food and to get a little gravey. Just like the breeder told us she did with chudleys.
Max did like bakers and would scoff his food straight down.
However max did seem to suffer from very running poo's and a lot of them. I assumed it was because he was a puppy but the biggest giveaway it was the food, was the orangey tinge to them just like the bakers food.
I then decided to change from bakers to beta and haven't looked back.
The food does look appealing with colourful colour and shapes. It does smell a bit more pongy that beta though.
Max's breath was smelly when he was on this diet.
