My 2 year old setter is still a work in progress as far as training goes. We have done the rounds of puppy and dog training and have the certificates to prove it! However he is still not reliable at coming back when called. Having a tasty treat in my pocket certainly helps to persuade him to return to me, his so called pack leader! In Tesco recently I spotted a plastic container of Bakers happy walks on sale. As they were on offer for under £1 I decided to buy a box.
Bakers happy walks come in a white plastic flip top container. They are the perfect size to fit in a pocket. On pulling back the foil seal I was struck by the very strong smell! It wasn't unpleasant just a very powerful meaty smell, the kind my dog loves! Each treat looks like a very small roll about the size of a cigarette stub. Inside the roll is a darker layer of meat. The information on the box says that the treats are made with 85% meat of which a minimum is 14% chicken. The treats also contain cereal and various vegetables. Unfortunately they also contain colours and preservatives.

My dog is very fond of these small treats and it does persuade him to come back when he is called- well most of the time anyway! He is a big dog and the information of the pack suggests he can have up to 10 pieces per day of these treats. I don't feed him that many as 1 or 2 are enough to keep him happy.
I really like the packaging for these treats as having smelly doggie treats in my pocket is not ideal! Keeping them contained in a easy to use plastic box is brilliant! The shape of the box is fairly slim so it will slip easily into my coat pocket. The box contains 60 grams of treats and has lasted me for about 3 weeks using them every day.

Overall I recommend these nifty little treats, especially if you can get them of offer!

I still use my little plastic box to hold treats in when we go for walks and meet up with our other pals.
I only bought one, because my dogs like anything that comes from the box. The rattle, alone, says "treats." to them. They haven't sussed yet that it is no longer Bakers treats:-)

Grace and Benson like these- the little boxes are very handy to slip in pockets for walks!
