Having dogs with really thick coats can be very hard work, as the constant shedding not only messes up the house on a daily basis but the excess hair falls off of the dog and sticks to their new coat, causing heavy matting if the situation is not sorted out straight away.

Myself having two dogs that have very long hair, was becoming uncontrollable as no sooner had I brushed them they were all knotty once again. In this wet damp weather you expect to have to do more with your pet's coats, but combing them for an hour a day with a fine comb was beyond a joke.

My mother in law has a black Labrador which constantly sheds his hair and she uses one of these shedding brushes, upon me trying it on my old English I knew I had to get one and since have never looked back.

I adore my dogs but the hair maintenance can be very time consuming, until I found this Bamboo adjustable shedding blade.

This wonderful brush itself is designed to minimize shedding and prevent matting, the devise is very unique indeed and unlike any other grooming tool I have ever laid eyes on, it looks more like a horse brush than a dog brush.

This shedding brush is fully adjustable and can cater for small, medium and large dogs. This can vary in size to ensure you can reach those hard to brush areas, for example under their chin and face areas.

If the three sizes are still to small this can be opened out into on large long blade, instead of a small loop. I personally find the long blade great after they have been in the bath as it also helps remove any excess water.

If your dog is really shedding there are two teeth sizes for a precise groom, one course and one fine. Each is located on one of the other side of the blade. If you have major shedding problems use the course side and then finish with the finer blade.

These blades do look rather frightening as they look very similar to a bread knife on the edges, they are relatively sharp but they will not cut of harm the dog in anyway if they are used correctly.

This shedding blade is ideal if you already have a matting problem as it will slowly remove large amounts of dead hair and un-tangle the coat as well as helping the hair that will normally collect around your house, if anything this will save you on hoover bags.

THE SHEDDING BRUSH

I have found that this removes matting and any loose hair at the blink of an eye lid, which is fantastic for me as I only need to groom them for five to ten minutes a day instead of the usual two hours with a fine comb.

The adjustable sizes on the blade really help around the dogs, arm pits, under carriage and face, which is really surprising as they always hated there face and ears brushed.

I love the fact that the teeth on the comb, pull out hair that has already shedded or is in the process of falling out. Now I can groom them in the garden and the house only need hovering every other day and not once a day like I usually had to do.

Adjusting the blades is very simple, all you do is slide a small button that is situated on the side of the handle, If will click in to place for each setting and it you what a better setting just push it down and slide it up or down. At first this button was very hard to use but as time has gone on it has now loosened up.
When I first got this I was amazed as it did not come with instructions, which can be very daunting for anyone that has never seen one. But as I had tried one in the past I knew what to expect.
This is very easy to use and it is comfortable for both you and your dog, the cushioned plastic handle sits snugly into you palm and the dog just loves it, she lays on her back with her legs in the air jus waiting to be brushed.

Before my mother in law introduced me to this I have never seen anything like it, so I didn't know where to start with it.

When I got home later that day I tapped in shedding comb, into the eBay search engine and it appeared and I was amazed at how cheap I could get this wonderful, time saving brush.

I bought this from a seller called Europets and it cost me 4.99 plus 1.70 postage costs, this was a steal as I was expecting to pay about twenty pound for it.

MY OPINION

The Bamboo adjustable shedding blade is a fantastic grooming tool that really works and removes excess hair and even matted hair, in a fraction of the time I would be with a normal brush of comb. For this fact alone it gets my vote.

On my first impression of this, I thought this was something that would toucher the dog not brush it, but I was amazed at the results in the matter of minutes. Not only was the dog lovely and fluffy but knot free, this was something that could take me four hours to do in the past.
Not only am I getting the full benefits for this shedding brush, which cost me peanuts but the dog really enjoys brush time now, which was something that I would battle with her in the past. Now she gets a nice quick brush she lets me do it everyday without causing a fuss.

So if you have a dog that is constantly shedding then this is a must, not only will it save you grooming time but you will have less cleaning to do. This is the real deal and the pets love it, so for such a small price to pay give it a try. I promise you will not be disappointed.
