Advantages: very relaxing to watch

Disadvantages: only having to clean out

I recently bought a 30l biorb from ebay, i'm not a fish expert, i thought they looked really pretty and unsual it cost me £45 with a tropical heater so after alot of reading i got my biorb up and running. It came with an idiot proof step by step instruction book so even i couldn't get it wrong. They normally cost around 89 from pets at home for a 30l bit more if you want to go tropical and have the heater. It comes with a service pack which is your filter, bubble tube, small pump which is put outside of the tank, a coloured base and top which can be changed and some fish food. After adding the gravel or ceramic media as its called then the air stone to the bubble tube you are ready for the water which first needs water chemicals added to clear the harmful to fish chlorine then your ready to switch it on, don't do what i did and put the tubes on the wrong way, i only got about two or three bubbles coming up the tube. After cycling for a few weeks checking the levels i added my first five fish neons then a month later danios and now i have some gupies as well. You can buy loads of different accessories in the biorb range. Its a great talking piece when people come round and its very relaxing to watch....
