Bob Martin Spot On - Dangerous Product (Bob Martin Flea Products)
Member Name: Beaglmom
Advantages: Cheap Disadvantages: Could make your pet critically ill Dangerous Product : Used Bob Martin Spot On on Friday a.m. 5th July 09 on my 10 year old Beagle (normally use Frontline) by Saturday a.m. she was itching and scratching so I bathed her in mild shampoo to remove as much residue as I could. By 10.00 pm on Saturday night (06/06/09) she was desperately poorly. Itching like crazy, panting, wheezing, eyes wide, ears flat, couldn't be consoled, couldn't sit, stand or lie down. Lumps and bumps on her body where lymph glands would be. At 11.00 pm her back legs would no longer hold her and the speed of her deterioration was unbelievable. I truly thought she might die before I could get help. Thanks to our marvellous vet she's slowly recovering but BEWARE, don't put your dog at risk. Why aren't Trading Standards taking more notice of all these Bob Martin reviews? Contra-indications on packaging is poor, almost non-existent and refers to "minor irritation on skin" no words of other symptoms - this is completely inadequate and needs to be changed immediately they are failing in their Duty of Care as a supplier of products to consumers who plan to use the said product on their pets without full information. Today is Tuesday 9th June 2009 and she is still ill and scratching as close as she can get to the placement of Spot On. Warn anyone you know who has a dog not to buy this product - it's not safe - complain to Bob Martin and send copy of letter or e-mail to Trading Standards. Summary: Don't buy this product, complain to supplier and Trading Standards |
