... litter. Its small grains of dark grey powder and you could smell it straight away. It gave the litter tray a fresh and florally smell to it. Like clock work as soon as I had finished setting her little tray up, Lola decided that she must do the toilet there and then and at first I was concerned that smell may put her off but she had a good sniff and apparently liked what she smelt. Now I did find that it didn't mask the smell of her toileting but it didn't prevent it getting worse. I found that as long as I kept her tray ...more

Premium Review Bob Martin Meadow Fresh Litter Freshener: The Litter Tray Still Stinks (220 words)

My cats litter tray is definitely the least favourite part of cat ownership. He is gorgeous but his litter tray stinks. When I saw Bob Martins meadow fresh litter freshener, I decided to give it a try. The product is available in a 400g cannister in supermarkets and pet shops. It is kept beside the cat litter. It cost 79p in ASDA. It's a bit like the old shake and vac containers, you just flip the lid and shake the crystals onto the litter. The freshener itself is small lavander coloured crystals which smell a bit like air freshener. I was a bit worried that the smell would put my cat off using his litter tray, but he just ignored ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Shake 'N' Vac in a can... (770 words)

*****Introduction***** A few weeks ago my cat started to have little accidents around the house, which was very unusual as he was always very good at asking to go out to do his business. After a visit to the vet we were informed that he has a very weak bladder hence the problems that were suddenly occurring, so we had no option but to get the dreaded litter tray involved so he had some where to go while he was in the house. I have never been a fan of having a litter box , but I feel this is down to the fact that I have never actually needed to have one as the cat was fully trained when we first got him. Training him to use the ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Bob Martin Meadow Fresh Litter Freshener: Fancy Chucking Your Money Down The Drain...... (789 words)

I have recently been on holiday for two weeks and my 14 year old kitty, was staying home alone. Well with the exception of my friend popping in 2-3 times a day to feed and check on her. Usually my cat goes out to do her business, but she always asks to go out so with me going away I didn't want her to get caught short and leave me or my friend little presents to find when we returned. As she was always littler trained for these instances, I decided to dig out the litter tray just in case she needed to go. I started to feel guilty about my friend having to clean the litter tray, so I looked for something to help with the smell. So on a ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review I Prefer This Smell to the Other... (317 words)

I'm a bit surprised by all the low ratings for this product, as I've actually found it to be quite useful. Don't get me wrong, a lot of Bob Martin products are actually quite poor, especially their flea treatments! But to date I've been really pleased with this particular product. Bob Martin Meadow Fresh Litter Freshener is avaible from most pet shops and supermarkets. In my local Tesco, it costs 38p for a 400g pot that lasts us a couple of months usually. For that price, I don't expect it to do anything amazing so long as it has some effect. All you do with this product is sprinkle it lightly over the top of your cat litter. It leaves a fresh ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Bob Martin Meadow Fresh Litter Freshener: Smell Today Gone Tomorrow (295 words)

Whilst I was in Asda picking up cat litter I noticed this litter tray freshener and since it only cost me 77p I felt I had nothing to lost. It's a small circular tin with a sprinkle top design. Its very simple to use and safe for all cats including kittens. Once I got home I changed the cats litter tray so its was clean try and free from unwanted presents. I opened the tin and lightly sprinkled the product over the litter. Its small grains of dark grey powder and you could smell it straight away. It gave the litter tray a fresh and florally smell to it. Like clock work as soon as I had finished setting her little tray up, Lola ...  Read the complete review
