Advantages: does what it says

Disadvantages: none

I started my pug on this dry complete food not really to do with weight issues although it is probably safer to say he is plumper than he is skinny, but due to my vet saying he may need a diet richer in fibre as his anal glands needed doing (sorry too much info i know!)

I did initally try just bran powder but this was flatly ignored so I thought I would give this a go instead.

Now this dry complete is recommended fir overweight or diabetic foods. The nutrional details are as follows:

Oats (min 56%), Chicken, Brown Rice, Peas, Chicken Oil, Seaweed, Vitamins and Minerals.

Typical Analysis/100g:
Protein 20.0%, Oil 7.5%, Fibre 6.5%, Ash 7.5%, Vit A 8000 iu/kg, Vit D 1500 iu/kg, Vit E 50 iu/kg, Moisture 8%, Copper 15mg/kg, Sodium 0.40%, Calcium 0.93%, Phosphorus 0.64%, Magnesium 0.13%.

Now thankfully even though it smells quite bland compared to your average dog food, Ralphie pug loves this and he has actually lost a little weight since being on it which since pugs have a tendency to get fat can only be a good thing. I'm not entirely sure whether his anal glands are much improved but he has been to the vet a couple of times recently and it has not been mentioned so I can only assume it is better.

I tend to buy big bags of food and 15kg of this cost me £37. This however will last around 5 months, so pretty cheap really!

So if your dog is overweight, diabetic or needs more fibre this is one to go for!

Summary: A great dog food

My dog is a tad overweight; due to the fact she eats my other dogs and cat's bowls. I can't find a way to stop her!

Did this help with his *ahem* little problem though.
