I became a Burns convert a few years ago now when I worked in boarding kennels. A representative from the company came to see us and taught us about all the nutritional values and health benefits for dogs and we were all intrigued. We bought some and trialed it on our own dogs and within just a few months we stocked just ab out every product they sold in our kennel shop!

It is a natural holistic dog food and comes in a variety of different flavours. I had two White German Shepards and they both loved the fish and brown rice one. Before putting them in this dog food I was quite ignorant to what I fed them but this honestly did make a difference. White German Shepards are known very well for their sensitive digestive systems and the slightest thing could set mine off but they never had any problems with Burns. People would also comment on the coats and again this is all down to diet. Their coats were softer, glossier and in no way greasy. When we first changed their deit they did have terribly greasy coats for a week or so but I think this was due to the gumpf from the old food being washed out their systems. Their eyes were brighter and it also helpped to maintain the weight of one of my dogs who suffered terribly with a weight problem. She was a collie GSD mix and was always a little 'back heavy' should we say bless her. Changing her to Burns was the best thing I ever did for her. Sticking to the suggested daily amount split over two meals got her down from 54ks to 47 within a very short space of time and she was within her ideal weight within 6 months of changing. (exercise obviously contributed to this too).

We occasionally change the flavour of the dog food but they never get bored of eating it! I cannot recommend this food for dogs enough.

Summary: Can be pricey but definitely worth it!
