That's the toy completely described, it really is a very simple concept. The great thing about this toy is you can keep your hands away from the excited action, it provides aerobic exercise for your cats assuming they like it of course and it just lasts for ages. Many years ago I saw one of these cat charmer toys and bought it for my boys, I paid about the same then as they cost now which is around the £5 mark and they are available in some pet shops, some online pet stores and from good old Amazon. The cat charmer is essentially a wand that you hold with a long piece of material on the end for your cats to chase. The wand is probably 60 cm long and made of clear plastic, at the end there is a rubber sleeve that houses the join between the wand and the material.
