... reducing any shed hair you might find around your home, no matter what sort of furry you've got...it is particularly brilliant for rabbits! A Cat Zoom Groom costs £5.86, and if you have short coated animals its really the only brush you need to buy, so its a bargain! If your cat hates being brushed with traditional slicker brushes, give the Zoom Groom a try. If I can make my ferrets sit still long enough for me to use it, you can certainly do so with your cat!...more

What is a Kong Zoom Groom?* The Zoom Groom is a rubber grooming aid produced by Amercian pet care company 'Kong'- perhaps best known for their red rubber dog toys- it is part of their grooming range which caters mainly for dogs, cats and horses. *The product itself* The Zoom Groom is quite unsual compared to most other grooming products- its a blue rubber cat shaped brush with soft rounded 'spikes' which help to remove loose hair and dead skin from your pet, aswell as stimulating the natural oils in your pets coat- these help keep the fur clean and shiny. Grooming mits I have used in the past have been very hard to hold, but this design allows you to ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Zoom ferret (355 words)

The cat Zoom Groom is perfect for getting loose hair off my ferrets...like cats, ferrets are prone to hairballs, however unlike cats they cannot vomit them up, so hairballs in the intenstines can cause blockages and huge problems. The Zoom Groom is a funky looking rubber brush by Kong with a cat on the back that comes in a variety of interesting colours. It doesnt look like a typical pet brush, instead it has soft rubber spikes. The Zoom Groom is comfortable to use, despite it being cat shaped it is ergonomic on the hands. Zoom Grooms are just brilliant at removing dead hair from ferrets...and thus other animals', coats. They dont tug ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Cat Zoom Groom: It really pulls! (382 words)

I had one of these and had to abandon it in favour of a standard brush for my two cats. My lads actually like being groomed and we have an assortment of various brushes to do this and vary the brush for the area, what mood they're in and how much hair we want to take off. I bought one of these for about £5.00 thinking they'd love it. How silly I am! Firstly one of my boys doesn't like alot of smells and rubber seems to be something he objects to. Alot of rubber items will lose their smell over time but my lad will avoid these items forever if he once gets even the faintest whiff of rubber. I left this on the floor for a few days to encourage my two to ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Not for slow dog brides..? (567 words)

I’d been forgetting to buy a proper grooming brush or comb for the cats for a wee while now, even as Peri would remind me with another of her furballs every now and then! Y’see, I’d been using an ordinary nylon comb on the girls and with them both being medium longhairs, the comb was doing quite a good job of cleaning their coats; I wasn’t in any rush to replace it. The only thing I could say about it was that it built up a fair amount of static which, when it discharged on Foggy’s ear, would send her belting away in shock. I was thinking that even a metal comb would be better but was, in a sense, discouraged from buying one because ...  Read the complete review

Cat Zoom Groom: Cats love the Zoom Groom (85 words)

We got a zoom groom years ago, and every cat I've ever had has loved it! Granted, it's not much good for long haired cats, but they need specialist brushes anyway. Short haired cats adore it. I was brushing my two cats last night and they were purring and rolling over for their tummies brushing. The kitten loves to be brushed and stop to chew the brush and then be brushed again. I'm buying a second one to give to my mum for her ...  Read the complete review
