The cat Zoom Groom is perfect for getting loose hair off my ferrets...like cats, ferrets are prone to hairballs, however unlike cats they cannot vomit them up, so hairballs in the intenstines can cause blockages and huge problems.

The Zoom Groom is a funky looking rubber brush by Kong with a cat on the back that comes in a variety of interesting colours. It doesnt look like a typical pet brush, instead it has soft rubber spikes.

The Zoom Groom is comfortable to use, despite it being cat shaped it is ergonomic on the hands.

Zoom Grooms are just brilliant at removing dead hair from ferrets...and thus other animals', coats. They dont tug on the hair like traditional brushes, instead the hair is loosened and massaged out. My ferrets dont particularly seem to enjoy it, but this is more a testament to the fact that ferrets dont like sitting still for more than 30 seconds, than the fact that the brush causes them any discomfort. Also, because the Zoom Groom is rubber, there is less chance of you knocking bony bits with hard bristles or plastic handles. They are also great for massaging your pets coats to condition the skin.

The hair that comes off with a Zoom Groom is very impressive, I was literally pulling lumps of fur off the brush during moulting seasons, and its quite scary to think that amount of hair could have ended up in my ferrets! A five minute Zoom Groom daily during moulting seasons is brilliant for reducing any shed hair you might find around your home, no matter what sort of furry you've got...it is particularly brilliant for rabbits!

A Cat Zoom Groom costs £5.86, and if you have short coated animals its really the only brush you need to buy, so its a bargain!

If your cat hates being brushed with traditional slicker brushes, give the Zoom Groom a try. If I can make my ferrets sit still long enough for me to use it, you can certainly do so with your cat!
