I got one of these fountains when I sent my boyfriend out shopping at lakeside one day. This was not what he went for and he bought it on impulse. I didn't mind too much though as we have two cats and our male cat will only drink from a running tap so I thought it might be a good idea. I thought it would be a lovely product it is certainly a good idea however I was more than unimpressed with it and it has sat in a cupboard for over a year now. When we first got it out of the box we found it very difficult to put together there may have been a pice missing as the top part of the fountain did not fit on properly, this caused the water to spill over ... I bought one of these as an addition to the running tap we always have in the bath and the many bowls of water around the house. My two male cats (I call them my boys, just so you know for when I do it during this review!) both suffer from struvite and need plenty of water to keep their bladders healthy. This seemed like a perfect solution. It was a bit fiddly to put together but I'm a real idiot when it comes to that kind of thing. Saying that it must be quite simple to construct or I wouldn't have managed it! I also worried about all the dust on the filter and rinsed that thoroughly before use, anyone with cats with struvite will know it takes next to ... Read the complete review

Now I am the first person to admit that my two pussy cats are pampered and spoilt by both Hubby and me, okay so maybe I am a little bit more of a soft touch but if they are happy then I am happy. One thing I always worry about when Steve and I are both at work is that Dude and Geezer (the cats and I am not responsible for naming them) have plenty of water to drink, as with human beings, it is imperative that your cat has fresh water to drink because it makes up 70% of their body and having two cats I wanted a solution that would mean fresh water all day long without having to leave the bathroom tap running. Then I read a review on Ciao about a water fountain ... Read the complete review

I have got to say that I think this product is fab!! I have two cats who may or may not be the weirdest cats in existence...either way..they totally love water...I mean love love water!! I've seen them before but never seen the need for one. That is of course until Kimba and Kouga came along with their weird water obsession. I got fed up of them jumping in the sink everytime I put the tap on to wash the dishes so I decided to buy one of these. Kimba and Kouga are indoor cats so I figured it was only fair to do as much as I can to enrich their indoor existence. The unit itself was fairly easy to assemble but the insructions were a bit rubbish to be honest. Its ... Read the complete review

I bought my water fountain six months ago and have noticed a big difference in the energy of my cats and have noticed that they do infact drink more water. This proves to me that the product does what it says it will do, which is rare for many things these days. The Cat fountain is easy to use (once you get to grips with it). The water filters through and a dome full of water will last a whole week. You can make the filters last a little longer if you rinse them out with hot water (no detergent) and perhaps use an old toothbrush also to give it a good clean. You can order new filters on Amazon, which is about the cheapest that I have found on the ... Read the complete review
