Advantages: Consant flow so you don't have to keep filling bowls

Disadvantages: Can become disloged and makes a loud buzzing but just check it every so often or give it a top up

I have got to say that I think this product is fab!! I have two cats who may or may not be the weirdest cats in existence...either way..they totally love water...I mean love love water!! I've seen them before but never seen the need for one. That is of course until Kimba and Kouga came along with their weird water obsession. I got fed up of them jumping in the sink everytime I put the tap on to wash the dishes so I decided to buy one of these.

Kimba and Kouga are indoor cats so I figured it was only fair to do as much as I can to enrich their indoor existence. The unit itself was fairly easy to assemble but the insructions were a bit rubbish to be honest. Its mainly common sense putting it together anyway really. It consits of the main 'bowl' with the motor/pump part in it and plastic dome and a detatchable bowl section for food. You basically fill the dome part with water via a water inlet on the underside and then sit it on the maiin unit. You have to sit it a cetain way on top of it so as to allow the unit to push the inlet valve up releasing the water. Oh there is also a filter that slots in to the main part but it's obvious where this bit goes. The watre thyen shoots up the middle of the dome and over the sides of it. That's basically it. So fairly simple and I have ot say my cats adore it.

Im not sure if it's the novelty of it bu I have nevr had cats that drink so much water. Ok Kouga also thinks its great fun to put his paws on the top of he dome and soak the kitchen but you can buy a special mat for the fountain to fit in and it stops most spillages. If Kouga didnt play in it here would be none. You need to change the filters every three weeks or so and give the dome part a quick clean every now and then but nothing to messy or that's too much hassel.

Summary: Fantastic for encouraging cats o drink more

I use to have the Dog-it and it was excellent, my dog broke that though so we went onto the Drinkwell fountain, which is just as good! The cats love it.
