Advantages: Stops odour, easy to clean and lasts longer then you'd think.

Disadvantages: Expensive compared to other brands.

Earlier this year I got a young kitten. After buying most of the bits and bobs she would need I went out to buy the last few things which included buying litter.

Ideally I wanted something that was cheap but stopped the smell and clumped together. Shopping in ASDA I saw they had their own brand cat litter on offer, it was a massive bag (can't remember the exact size) and was only going to cost £8. I bought the litter and was quite pleased, it stated odour reducing, clumping and it was cheap.

After using the litter for a few weeks there weren't any major problems, a bit smelly now and again and a bit messy but nothing too bad. As the kitten go older however the litter tray started to smell alot more, so I decided it was maybe best to look at another brand.

It was my sister who recommended Catsan saying that it's really good at containing the odour. I decided I would give it a go and see what it was like. When I saw how much it was I was a bit shocked as at £6 it was quite expensive for the amount I was getting. I went ahead and bought it and I can honestly say i'm so glad that I did.

The main improvement was there was NO smell from the litter tray, it was so easy to remove the lumpy bits with the scoop and the bag lasted longer than I expected. Since then Catsan is the only brand I have bought. Although it seems alot of money for the amount your getting because it clumps together the litter tray doesn't need fully cleaned out as often so it's definitely worth the money.

So, if your looking for a litter that doesn't smell, is easy to keep clean and worth the money. I would recommend Catsan every time. If it's on offer buy two or three...
