Advantages: Lasts longer than cheaper brands, doesn't need changing so often!

Disadvantages: Doesn't eliminate the smell as claimed in our house!

For the past few years we have been the proud owners of two fine cats that go by the names of Picasso and Smirnoff. Unfortunately due to the nature of my job, they find themselves stuck inside for long periods of the day and are forced therefore to use a litter tray for their business rather than going outside. Over the years, I have experimented with various different cat-foods, biscuits and litter but have eventually settled on those products that my paticular cats like best. However, when it comes to litter, Catsan has time and again always proved the best on the market and nothing else even seems to come close.

There are all sorts of varieties of litter you can buy on the market from saw-dust to wood shavings to absorbent granules. Catsan itself comes in two types- clumping and hygiene litter. To my mind, there is nothing worse than litter that clumps together when wet so, in my house, that is a no-no! So that just leaves the hygiene variety that comes mostly in a 10L bag priced around the £5 mark but is also available in some stores in a 20L mega-bag priced at around £9 something and change. They claim the white granules start work as soon as the cat quite literally goes to work and that all odour is hence neutralised but don't believe all you read as this has never been my experience! Believe me when I say you know when my two have gone for a number two and no mistake! However, this litter does seemingly go a long way and is easier to clear up than it's competitors by a mile! And it does limit the smell somewhat but just not enough to make a helluva lot of difference!

There are cheaper brands but bear in mind you get what you pay for and if your cat or kitten don't like it, they WILL find themselves somewhere else to go which might just be your sofa! For value for money therefore, I would not hesitate to recommend Catsan....it's certainly the best on the market from what I can see.
