My cats are in heaven!
Last week I wrote a review about Catsan litter which is an excellent product.
This week I decided to try going to Asda for a change to do some grocery shopping and I saw this product on the shelf. Now I had better explain I have three cats all Persian and all living the good life lounging around on my settees and beds like they are on a permanent holiday! One of them a red girl called Marigold is very very fussy about her toilet area so I make sure it is always spotless!
I pointed out this product to my husband who was very sceptical as it looked expensive. It was £5.39 in Asda so quite a bit cheaper than that quoted in other reviews, but that is probably Asda for you as I have been very impressed with the quality of the groceries from them and also the prices.
We decided to give this a try and I can't tell you how glad we are because it is actually working out cheaper than value litter priced at £1.20 a bag and Catsan priced at around £4.50. I can't believe it myself but it is and what's even better is there is no smell and it's much less work!
So what is the idea you might ask? Well the pack contains two of the complete litter tray systems. To use them you simple unravel one of them in the tray using the drawstrings around the edge to secure it. This reveals a thick layer of Catsan litter which has a pad underneath which soaks up all the urine.
Now having 3 cats I must admit I thought I was about to be very disappointed because at £5.39 for two of these I had the feeling I would be using one every two days but you don't. Ours has lasted a week with only having to remove the solid waste with a scoop daily. It has looked pristine all the time I can't believe it!
Now if your cat has a health issue like diabetes or kidney disease this may not be so successful as you may know these conditions until they are treated can cause more urine to be produced so if you see this sign in your cat see your vet for a check up as early diagnosis is important. For most moggies and pedigree cats this new system is a delight and I am actually saving money!
The best thing is disposal is easy because you just roll it all up and it's done no mess and less cost in buying bin liners to dispose of it.
It is one of those things which on the face of it seemed like an extravagance but I am so glad I tried it. I adore Persian cats but their toilet is the worst thing in a home and this is the best product I have found. For us with 3 cats it is working out to be a cost of £2.60 per week which is fantastic compared to any other litter I have tried. The house smells fresh and clean and the cats are happy as it is always dry and ready for them to use.
I hope this helps and if you have a cat you might like to try it and I can certainly say Marigold recommends it!
Summary: A Product which has revolutionised cat litter hygiene-really second to none!
