Finding the right complete to feed my two dogs has led me to explore various different brands and finding a balance between affordability and giving them a healthy diet has led me to Chappie Complete. After trying a number of different completes and mixers, we tried Chappie as it is a brand other than the extortionate Dr Hills brand that is recommended by vets. The reason we changed from our previous brand is because my dogs are Bulldogs and they have very sensitive skin and eating the wrong kind of diet can cause irritation and make them scratch themselves. Since being on Chappie Complete there skin has cleared up and they are less prone to scratch ... Read the complete review

As a pet food retailer, I hear peoples opinions on products frequently and am also asked my opinions and recommendations in return. The verdict on Chappie dog food seems split. There are the people who think it's cheap and nasty and there are people who swear by it and have had their vet recommend it for a sensitive tum. There are also surprising number of people going from camp 1 to camp 2 (not to mention back again!) My personal opinion of Chappie is that it isn't one I'd be first to recommend. Chappie Complete Original. I buy this food as it's relatively low in fat compared to other dried foods. It's also easily digestible (this was fed a lot in the kennels I worked out especially dogs that had funny tummy's). My dogs love it and I feed it dry although it can be fed moistened with warm water or gravy. I feed mine dry as its better for their teeth. I have Border Collies and feed mine 10 ozs a day split into 2 feeds which for ease equates to an empty small tin of tuna for each feed. I vary this amount according to how their weight is, often feeding a little more in summer and a little less in winter. Packaging This complete dry dog food ... Read the complete review

Chappie is a very cheap dog food which enhances good digestion and provides the dog with lots of energy, a healthy diet and is low in fat. This food comes in several flavours, although the only one my dog has tried at the moment is the chicken and rice one because he has a sensitive stomach - something which this food is ideal for! The product itself comes in a bag, rather like most other dog foods, and has a red top with "Chappie" written across it in white writing. The bottom half is a picture of a dog looking happy and leading a happy lifestyle - something which I presume is to make the product be assosciated with making your dog ... Read the complete review
