Good for sensitive stomachs (Chappie)
Member Name: mickeyhunt
Advantages: Smells good and is low in fats Disadvantages: none so far I have just put my 12 1/2 year old Labrador onto this tinned food (and dried James Wellbelove senior). Before she was on Pedigree chum. I have always been wary of Chappie and seen it as a low end brand, but someone told me that it was excellent for dogs with stomach upsets as it was very fish based and therefore a lot lower in fats. We give my Lab mainly dried biscuits, but add wet food so that it is not too boring. We try and keep the wet food as low as possible, but she is a fussy eater and will not usually eat biscuits without either some tinned dog meat or cat food. The Chappie combined with the James Wellbelove has worked worders. She no longer suffers from the runny tummy she used to have and it has reduced her wind. I like the smell of the Chappie and would happily reccomend it to other pet owners, especially if their pet has a stomach problem. Summary: A good tinned food that works well for dogs with stomach complaints. |
