My two lads (cats) have city hoppa carriers. I chose this type of carrier because I thought the mostly enclosed sides would provide a feeling of safety for my boys and I was certain I would not be able to get them into a top-loading version of a cat carrier, I can picture the legs rigidly gripping the sides and the stress just thinking about it! The city hoppa does have a bowl but frankly we've never used it, if mine are in their carriers the last thing they're interested in is eating and drinking. They hate their carriers and know they mean either a trip in the car or both a trip in the car AND a visit to the vets! Pure hell for them! However, ... Read the complete review

I own 2 little Tonkinese cats (half Siamese, half Burmese - %100 in to everything!) and as you can imagine, transporting them to the vets, to catteries and the such like is a bit of a mission! I bought my City Hoppa well over 5 years agao for the princly sum of £7 and have nothing but praise for it. Unlike others I have read about, I still have me 2 little lugs firmly attached to the doors ! LOL :0) This carriers are great. Mine is not the largest that City Hoppa do, but is more than adequet for holding the 2 wriggely little beasts I own. The handel is wide and comfortable to hold and the whole construction is increadibly sturdy. ... Read the complete review

I own two cats – they are part Persian, part moggie and really do rule our house with a furry paw! Now, when you own a cat its’ inevitable that one day you will have to take your little furry friend off to the vets – ours have to go at least once a year for their injections to protect them against leukaemia and also ‘cat colds’ so a good strong box for transporting them to and from the vets in is obviously essential. We didn’t really know where to look for such an item, but as I was having a casual flick through the Argos catalogue I spotted this cat box called a ‘City Hoppa’. It’s pretty basic in ... The Cityhopper pet carrier is available in two sizes, small ((H) 29cm x (W) 35cm x (D) 50cm), which is suitable for cats and large ((H) 40cm x (W) 40cm x (D) 60cm), which is suitable for large cats and small dogs. It is manufacturered from high grade plastic and is easy to clean. It is lightweight with a comfortable strong plastic handle on the top, this is extremely important to me as I often need to carry two Maine Coon Cats which between them are equivalent to approxomately 2st in weight. The carrier is fitted with a simple locking mechansim which allows for quick opening - this is extremely important if using to transport an injured animal - this ... Read the complete review

Having received word from the Cats Protection League that two of their denizens were now ready to try out my home, I went ready equipped with my brand new cat carrier. It wasn't to present as good an impression as you might think as one of the little knobs on the door broke the first time I tried to close it. Apparently, this is not entirely due to my hamhandedness as the lady at Cats Protection informed me that the knobs on this model are very prone to breakages. She advised me to return it for a refund, which I did. She also sold me a white rectangular wire cage at cost, which was £16. The new cage is great - easy to clean, and has transported a number ...
