Classic Hamster Log Tunnel

This log tunnel is built for small animals such as hamsters to run through and eat. I brought this item at town pets and after a week it looked stupid. My hamster just nibbled it and it wasn't long until you couldn't tell what it was ment to be. The tunnel I brought for my hamster was a waste of money because my he just nibbled it. This was good in one way because it acted as a naw, this is a block that keeps your hamster's teeth healthy. My hamster did like it though and he was always nibbling and playing with it. I bought this hamster log tunnel from Pets At Home in Bristol, where I also purchased my first Syrian Hamster. It was priced very reasonably at under £3, and so I felt as a toy and also something for her to chew on, this would be a good idea. I didn't really know what the habits of my hamster were when I purchased this, but as it is kind of multi-purposed, I thought I would be lucky that she would either be a chewer or a player, fortunately for me she is both. Another toy owned by one of my somewhat spoiled Hamster crew. Bought for my smallest Syrian as a general chew/play toy. Natural wood so as advertised yes it makes a good chew toy if your hamster is that way inclined and a fair size, at 8 inch long will fit in most cages. However the holes in the log are too small for even my smallest Syrian, nevermind my bigger ones. No way can he fit more than his head into the holes so this is not really one of my best buys. Would highly recommend for smaller Dwarf breeds of hamster or mice, but not for a Syrian hamster - unless they love to gnaw and chew their wooden toys.
