Advantages: Good exercise

Disadvantages: None

I never knew our cat Darcy had a modelling career before she moved in with us, the picture at the top looks incredibly like her! When she first moved in with us I thought she was quite old as she never had any energy to play but after being fed up she regained her kittenhood and now she loves to play with anything, as long as it is not intended as a cat toy. She won't scratch her scratching post, preferring the carpet just next to it, so she obviously associates it with scratching to a certain extent!

I bought her a cat toy stuffed with catnip, which is supposed to be irresistible to cats, but she ignored it when I threw it around. So I tied it to a piece of string so it could be dragged around for her to chase. Again she wasn't interested, so now we hold the end with the toy and move the string around, which she loves to stalk and chase. She doesn't go outdoors much but will follow you outdoors when you are trailing the string behind you and run about on the lawn. It doesn't have to be string, shoelaces and tape measures are also highly interesting for her. She also loves to chase an orange net, after you have taken the oranges out of it.

Summary: Free and endless playability!
