Camping For Dogs!! (Dog Sleeping Bag)

When I went camping for the first time, I felt a little bit sorry for my dog, although he had somewhere relatively cosy to sleep, I couldn't help but think that next time we go camping I could try and make it a little more comfortable and cosier for him.

It was last year when we went camping for the first time and it was the time of year when it began to freeze at night a little so we have spent the past 6 months accumulating items that will be extremely useful for our next camping trip which we are soon to go on.

The dog has also been one of the priority and the amount of camping stuff that we have bought just for him to make sure he has a comfortable trip is quite a lot.

WE were looking through B&M Stores one weekend, which is a great shop that sells all things that you could want at a very competitive price and this is when I stumbled across the dog sleeping bag. (The picture above is exactly the same however I found this one on Ebay at considerable amount more in cost).

The dog sleep bag is available in blue and red and as with all sleeping bags, it comes with a carry case so you can fold it up and pop it in, for storage space and ease of packing when travelling. The outer case comes in the same colour as the actual sleeping bag with black paws on it to differentiate it from normal sleeping bags.

Now these actually only come in one size and are suitable for small to medium dogs. Sandy is considered as medium dog and he fits in his with just enought room. The dog in the above picture would have ample space in one of these.

My particular dog sleeping bag is blue with a black base and it is padded exactly the same as a normal sleeping bag to ensure that your dog is cosy on its trip. As opposed to having zips around the side as it can be quite hard to get your dog in one of these, it has velcro, so once the dog is in, your can either close the velcro straps around the side, and if they want to get out they can, or you can just leave them and cover it over without fastening it. Sandy is hard work to try and get in his, however if he is tired its like an automatic thing to get in bed and go to sleep, so you just have to wait for this time to come.

These ane be used for camping, general travelling or just in the house if you want to as I have tried to get Sandy used to his a little.

The price on these in B&M STores is £3.99 which I think is fabulous price however on Ebay I think people may have been taking the opportunity of stocking up on these and selling them a considerably high price, which when you manage to get one for £3.99 you can't understand why people would may more but if they are not aware and its a product they need they will.

A great litte item to ensure that your furry friend has just as good a holiday as you do.
