*What is the Drinkwell Pet Fountain?* This pet drinking fountain, designed for use by both cats and cats, is part of an extensive range of water fountains, produced by Drinkwell, manufactured to provide an alternative way of providing fresh drinking water for your pets. *The product itself* You'd think providing drinking water for a dog would be one of the simplest tasks there is, you get and bowl, fill it with water and place it on the ground, right?! Well, in most cases, yes, that is probably all that needs doing, but when you own Grace and Benson, you need to rethink things a little bit, as nothing is ever simple with those two ... SOME of us own strange and exotic pets, whilst others own pets with strange and exotic natures, and my cat definitely falls into that second category... Over the past few months, going into the bathroom had become a bit of a bizarre experience. Suddenly, and for no apparent reason, upon opening the bathroom door, the cat would rush in ahead of me and leap into the bath. Once there, she would stare expectantly at me, and meow until I turned the tap on for her to drink from. "What's wrong with the water in your bowl?" I would occasionally ask. But she never replied. Now this ritual began to get a bit ridiculous, as ... Read the complete review

I brought one of these two years ago from a boot fair for only £5. I had seen them advertised before and thought that they were a good idea but refused to pay £20+ for something that I knew my cats might not like once I got it home. Anyway I thought £5 was a bargin and for that money I didn't care if my cats hated it. Once I got it home I set it up (very easy I might add, you just have to pop the filter in the top and fill with water) and plugged it in. The first thing I noticed was the noise. An rather annoying low humming sound that (as our kitchen and lounge were one room at the time) drove us mad after a couple of hours. ... Read the complete review

The Drinkwell Fountain is something my cats adore and if you have a cat I would urge you to consider treating your moggie to one of these as they are much loved by felines and are very good for their health. I first purchased mine a few years ago for one of my Persian cats who was in renal failure, and he had to drink a lot each day to flush out the toxins. It was then that I noticed all my cats were in the queue for the fountain and my era for owning one began. The fountain was actually the brainchild of an American lady vet who first invented it for her own cat Buckwheat in 1994 who had a passion for drinking from running taps! My cats ... **The Fountain** The Drinkwell® Original Pet Fountain was created in the garage of inventor and Veterinarian, Dr. Mary Burns in 1995 after her cat, "Buckwheat" was repeatedly found on the counter top drinking from the kitchen tap. Dr Burns recognized her cat's natural attraction to free flowing water and ultimately the idea for the Drinkwell's unique design was born. The Drinkwell Pet Fountain has many unique features including an adjustable flow rate, convenient side carrying handles and it completely disassembles for cleaning. Drinking more water can help your cat or dog's health, and has been shown to reduce urinary disease in cats. The ... Read the complete review
