Advantages: Cats love it, constant stream of fresh, cool water.

Disadvantages: Cats cant keep their feet out of it. or is it just mine?

As a confirmed animal lover, my cats get everything they demand, and the little monkeys are number one in our house. I visited another cat crazy friend of mine a few weeks ago, and noticed this nifty little gadget in her front room. Her two cats were constantly coming up to it, having a few livks, and walked off looking like the cat's whiskers. That was it, my bunch just had to get a drinkwell pet fountain as well!

So I promptly went off in search of one the next morning. Now I paid £39.99 for mine, but if you have the time, shop around because you can find them for a lot cheaper, especially on on-line sites.

I quickly rushed homeith mine, and after reading the instructions, fitted it and filled it with water. Now here is the important bit....make sure you fill every bit of it with water, as I could not get mine to work initially, until I added more water, and it then started sprouting out a lovely fresh cool stream of water. The water is filtered through charcoal, so it is supposed to give your little monsters a constant stream of fresh properly hydrated water.... as long as you remember to keep filled.

I did not find this product to be as quiet as they said it would be, but it did not really bother me. The real verdict was from the masters of the house, and thye just LOVE it. I have noticed they are now much more eager to drink water, and Im sure it will hold lots of benefits for them. The only problem I have is one of my little monsters is so fascinated by the stream, he is constantly putting his foot in to play with it.....kind of defeating the idea of "clean" water!

Summary: Shop around for a good deal, but well worth it
