When I was growing up we always had a leather collar and chain lead for my little dog. So as an adult and ending up with a dog to look after I looked around for a similar lead but found them all so expensive. Looking through Argos I found this retractable lead and spent a really reasonable £9.99 on a bright blue version for my newly acquired dog. I recently purchased a Flexi Summertime dog lead for my Minature Schnauzer. I've used a flexi lead for 4 years now and found it to be a quality product but it was starting to get quite tatty. I purchased the Summertime lead as the whole lead is tape whereas the previous lead I have used was cord. On the second time of using the lead my dog chewed on the lead which was only for a couple of seconds and went right through it! I can't use the lead now so that's £13 wasted. It could have been worse, she could have chewed through the lead whilst we were out putting herself in danger.
