I was shocked to read the reviews below. I had been using franks boarding kennels for around 5 years, and I have to this day never had a problem. I have actually moved from the area now and I do not board my dogs there anymore. The kennels I have used recently charge three times as much as frank did, and when I visited they seemed cramped and hectic. I have a collie cross and whenever I picked it up from the kennels it would be in a bright and cheerful mood, the only downside was my dog did smell a little but considering its been in a kennel for a week or more I did expect it. From my point of view I would definitely recommend using this boarding kennels.

As you can imagine I was quite shocked I was even more shocked to find my dog on the animal welfare site under a different name. I then looked further in to the matter and found out my dog had been let out to roam free with 2 other dogs only 2 days after me leaving him there. The run we had arranged previously to put them in had other dogs in it, so he moved them out and put ours in - he didn't even bother to take the other dogs toys or bed with them or clean the kennel. We had to remind him to give them water. We arranged to pick the dogs up at 2pm on the bank holiday Monday. When we arrived the place was completely shut up with no-one around and no answer on the telephone. Eventually we called the police as it is illegal to leave dogs unattended. Before the ... I am very surprised there is no category for boarding kennels in this section!, anyway, I just got my dogs back from this establishment and I am disgusted at the treatment my dogs have received, I left a pack of 'Rask' two rawhide 'chews' and four large tins of bounce for them to eat last Friday (they have 1/2 large tin between them each meal) and I left enough food for Friday night, sat morning & night and then Sunday morning, as I had only been there less than 48 hours ago to drop my dogs off I was a bit surprised she didn’t know who I was or what dogs I had left there, I was asked how long they had stayed and 'what dogs?' again. as she ...
