If you have a cat, chances are that you have seen this product on the shelves or bought it for your feline companion. It comes in a cardboard box with a yellow background, and different colours on the front, depending on what flavour you buy. There are various flavours and you can also buy varieties for indoor cats, hairball control, senior, kitten etc.

The box always features a delighted looking ginger cat on the front who looks like he (or she!) is about to land right in a bowl of the product! A 379g box of this costs around £0.90, and bigger boxes are also available, I tend to find that supermarkets have this on offer a lot, so it is usually easy enough to pick up cheaply. It is found in most supermarkets and pet stores. It is made by Purina.


This is a complete cat food, which means that you could potentially feed your cat on this alone. I suspect that my Siamese would have something to say if I tried that though! We feed them sachets of meat each evening (at dinner time) or fresh fish or chicken. They then have dried food available to snack on through the day. Cats will rarely overeat (though I am sure that someone will have one that does, so this is just a generalisation!) so they can just help themselves when they want to. Because it is dried, this food stays fresh for them all day.

it is really important to ensure that you are providing a plentiful supply of fresh water for your cats at all times, and because this food is dried, they are likely to drink more.

On the whole, the Siamese enjoy this food. It is basically little shaped biscuits in various colours, depending on the flavour that you buy. Having said that, they don't scoff it nearly as quickly as they do some other dried brands (such as Wellbeloved) so I like to buy the ones that they prefer. It is only really if I run out and have to buy from a smaller shop with less choice that I will buy this brand. This is simply because Wellbeloved has all natural ingredients, and I know that it is good for them as well as being a favourite.

It works out at decent value as it is one of the cheaper brands on the market, so could be good if you were on a budget. For me, I like to give them what they enjoy so this isn't something that they would have all the time, and even though other brands may be more expensive, it is reassuring to know that they are good for them while being enjoyed.

This is a decent enough stand by, and I will certainly buy it again if I need to, but it won't be replacing my normal brand.
