I just want to point out before I get into this review that I do understand the importance of exercise for our furry friends and the health benefits they get by being active. However this is where I have a dilemma because in the 14 months I have had a hamster as a pet I have given him 3 different types of hamster wheel each with varying degrees ...  Read the complete review

I have a sneaky suspicion that hamster wheels are more for human enjoyment than the pet's. For example, it's a form of exercise (in our mind), but to a hamster is the road that leads nowhere. A Hamster Wheel is an accessory for your pet. Hamsters do need a lot of exercise otherwise they can become very fat and unhealthy, this is self explanatory but a hamster cant exercise itself effectively without a device such as a hamster wheel so make sure you buy one or a hamster ball to make sure your hamster gets the exercise it ...  Read the complete review

The hamster wheel is literally the bain of my existance and yet constrasts as my hamster's whole world. The reason I hate this product so much is simply the noise it generates and I challenge anyone to sleep right when you have to put up with this noise every night. I find the noise itself to be a really high pitched squeeky noise ...  Read the complete review

A hamster wheel is an essential item for your hamster's cage to keep it entertained and to provide adequate exercise. I think a hamster wheel is one of the most important things that a hamster cage needs and I would actually say that it is essential that you have one if you have a hamster. Have had many hamsters, and many wheels. Have eventually grown out the former, but the memory of the latter haunts me yet. Nights lost to the monotonous squeaking of a hamster wheel, days lost to tiredness. My hamsters ended up in the shed. Could almost hear it from there. I did once attempt removing the wheel, but the hamster went on protest and ...  Read the complete review

A hamster wheel is a necessity in your hamster cage as they need exercise for them to stay healthy. They also keep your hamster entertained while you're in bed and you're hamsters most active. Wheels are a necessity for small rodents such as hamsters, however, the type of wheel you choose is very important. Why are wheels necessary? In short, they're the only way a hamster can get any substansial exercise. A short time in the ball is nada compared the miles that a hamster will run on the wheel at night. When I bought my hamster cage, I naturally chose one that had a hamster wheel as I throught that my lovely little baby hamster would love to play on it.
