* Introduction* Since 2004 Soul has been diagnosed as having an allergy to grass and pollen. As a result of this, he pulls out his fur and scratches a lot more than the average cat would. After his diagnoses by a vet, Soul now has to have monthly injections to counteract his allergies. At the time it was also suggested that he be fed on this diet, as he may be allergic to ‘normal’ cat food. Since this could not be tested for, we jointly decided that putting him on this diet, may help control his condition. * Which conditions is this food for?* Well, first of all it’s for any age cage between the ages of 1-9 ... Hill's Science Plan is a special range of cat food, available only from pet shops and vets stores. They sell both dried food, in plastic bags, and wet food in cans and pouches. This is a review of the dried food only. Alongside standard packets in chicken and fish flavours, Hill's sell specially formulated crunchies for cats of a particular age or condition. There's food for kittens and food for elderly cats. There's a special food for for neutered cats, for sensitive stomachs, for cats with hairballs, joint problems. There is also a range of prescription food for animals that need special diets. One of my cats has Feline Urinary Tract Disease and has to ... Read the complete review

Hi! My name is Shady - yes, my stupid mother is an Eminem fan! She writes under the name of Karen(UK) here at Dooyoo and while she's just nipped out, I thought I'd write an opinion myself. After all, it's not often us cats get a chance to have our say. I have only been living in my new home a few days, but before that I lived with an elderly couple and they had me from being a kitten. I am now three and a half and have always been fed this delicious food. Shame about the not-so-catchy title though - Hill's Science Plan - Veterinary Formulated is rather a mouthful for a puss like me - and it contains the dreaded 'V' word too, ugh! ... I probably can’t better the humour level of the other Hill’s review, but hopefully I can add some useful points. First, I’ve always loved cats but until I moved in with my partner, never lived with them. I share the house with two now, Tyke and Jack, quite small, black, naughty boys! I used to work in a pet food/garden stuff/coal merchants who stocked Science Diet and had cats and dogs. So I have indeed heard the story on the food, and seen animals and their weight and health when fed Science Diet. However, our cats were always fed Katkins or Whiskas, or whatever Tesco had on offer. They seemed active, so I didn’t nag ... Read the complete review

I’ve read both the articles about Hill’s Science Plan and agree with both their opinions but they are a few points I would like to make regarding the food which I don’t think they could have fit in the comments box. So I must apologize if I’m boring you again with the same subject but I would like to hear some comments from others with perhaps the same problem or may be solutions. We have three cats so far (we are always being tempted to get another one, we are suckers for kittens), the first one is almost eight, the second five and the last one, our baby, is only one year old. We’ve started given them Hills biscuits a couple months ... Read the complete review
