John Travolta eat your heart out!!! My tiny little Jack Russell has had one of these brilliant collars for about a year now. I live close to an old airfield that was turned back into a common so that we could all enjoy it. Trouble is that it is absolutely huge, comes complete with gorse bushes, heather, high bracken, woods, deep pits filled with water, small ponds, and cows. So, when you've only got a little dog, and it starts to get dark he's got a million and one hiding places, and a million and one dangers awaiting him. But, with his flashing collar on, I always know where he is, so do other dog walkers, mountain bikers and horse riders (and so do the cows!!) Not only that, but when I go jogging I quite often have to use footpaths alongside the road, and as I ALWAYS take my little mate with me, it's great to know that he is easily seen by traffic. Quite a few cars will even move further away from the pavement because they can see the flashing collar from further back and it gives them more time to react.Brilliant. Because the collar is made from highly reflective yellow plasticky material, it is waterproof, ideal for the winter and Autumn when it is pouring down with rain. The velcro fastening is quick, easy & simple even if you're fingers are not quite so nimble. The battery is easy to come by in the shops, easy to change and inexpensive. The best thing of all though, is the look that you get from your everyday innocent person when, as they walk home in the dark from the Pub, they suddenly see a ring of flashing red lights, hovering just above the ground.....UFO anyone?!!!

- 16/07/02 This product seems a really good idea. I wonder if they do them for cats, to protect them against being run over...I will have to look into that.
Thanks

- 16/07/02 I've thought about these for our two Ridgebacks, particularly for the winter months when I could do with them being a bit more visible. Sue :)
