I love MyDogs. He likes to jump on the bed and wake me up in the night, but lately with the heating on he has decamped to the spare room and lies stretched out on the bed there, full length and snoring. When I got up in the early hours, unable to sleep, I found him in there and leapt on the bed with a bounce as payback. Having a sweet nature, he licked my bare foot, wagged his tail and made room for me before he went back to sleep. What can you get someone who loves you this much for Christmas? I hunted high and low to find the perfect present. I'd looked on the internet for tips and hints and this is where I first heard of the Kong dog toy. Being natural ... Read the complete review

*What is a Kong?* A Kong is a red dog toy made from strong natural rubber, it is designed to help prevent bordem in dogs whilst left alone and also as a general all rounder fetch-chew toy. The Kong company manufacters several other designs of dog toy made from the same rubber, including special puppy toys and black Kongs for large strong dogs. *The toy itself* The Kong is an unusual shape which is hard to describe, I recommend you do a Google Image search to get a good clear idea of what the toy looks like if you don't already know. The Original Kong toy is made from red rubber which is non toxic, tough and fairly strong for light-average chewers. ... Read the complete review

In October 2004 I got my first dog - a mixed breed puppy, who I named Scamp. Like any responsible pet owner, I'd done extensive research before bringing him home and, time and time again, had heard 'Kongs' raved about. Eager to find out what all the fuss was about (it's just a dog toy, right?), I took the plunge and purchased a medium sized classic Kong. As far as dog toys go, these are pretty pricey - anywhere up to £13.99, depending upon size, strength and design. The one that I got - the classic design - was red, and like a round, cone shape that was hollow in the middle. It's difficult to describe; think of 3 red, rubber donuts in descending size stacked ... ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ The KONG. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ After nearly two years of not having a dog we decided that we couldn't cope anymore without one and went on a hunt for a suitable puppy. We ended up with a 9 week old Labrador cross Border Collie pup who we named Bonnie. Once we brought her home we had several visits from friends and family, three of which (individually of each other) recommended that we got a KONG for Bonnie as they had found them brilliant. So the following day I went to our nearest big pets store and ended up spending £40 on dog toy!!! £5 of that was spent on a KONG. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ What is ... Read the complete review

What do you humans know about what us dogs like to chew? My owner knows very little or I wouldn't have chewed through the seat belts in his car or through the slippers he got last Christmas if he'd given something decent to play & chew with. He obviously doesn't know that us dogs naturally chew & that we need something challenging to sink our teeth into on a regular basis. I don't mean those awful squeaky latex toys that Trixie the toy poodle down the road has but real butch toys like a Kong. My owner tried those squeaky latex toys but because my teeth are so strong I destroyed them in minutes, spitting out the little plastic squeaker in ... Read the complete review
