I even tried mixing it with a little bit of tinned meat to get him to taste it but he wouldn't. So Pascoes Organic Complete was certainly not a success in our house. My dog has never been fed on complete dry food but I was advised recently by the vet to try him on it. I opened the bag and I must admit it did smell pretty bad...a cross between seaweed and rotting fish! The dog wouldn't even go near it.It appears to be the smell that he doesn't like. I bought a box of Pascoes because it's organic and as my older dog had recently suffered from an allergy I hoped it would be better for her. This would possibly have been the case if I could have coaxed her into eating it, but after a first careful sniff she wouldn't go anywhere near it, and I can hardly blame her. When I first opened the box my nostrils were assaulted with an overpowering smell of fish. Within a few minutes the smell was starting to spread right throughout the house.
