*What are Pedigree Biscrok?*
These dog biscuit treats are produced by the Pedigree company, the highly popular and world famous manufacturers of a wide range of dog foods including dry complete diets, tins and pouches and of course, their ever expanding range of treats, biscuits and chews for dogs of all ages.

*The product itself*
Before the furry monsters that are Grace and Benson invaded by home, life was simple, peaceful and well, very relaxing and easy! My canine companion was Ruby, the late Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and she was a very easy dog to own! Those were the days when I could have a bath without having to beware of dogs attempting to have a swim, I could close the bedroom door at night and be confident that in the morning- it would still be shut and I wouldn't have a Rottie breathing in one ear, a Bernese in the other and myself and my fiancé clinging to either side of the bed whilst the dogs sprawled out comfortably in the middle, I could eat my dinner in peace without two sets of eyes glaring at me and trying to convince me they were about to drop dead with malnourishment and lastly, I could watch television without furry nutcases being hell bent on catching any animal that appeared on the screen!

Oh those were the days! But I have to admit, although Ruby was a lovely little dog and I loved her oh so very dearly- she was a little on the quiet side and gave me know where near the love and entertainment that Grace and Benson do nowadays!

As I mentioned earlier, Ruby was a quiet and very easy to please little doggie! She was content with her hour long stroll everyday and providing she got her breakfast, dinner and night time biscuit on time, she'd be very happy!

Grace and Benson on the other hand, aren't quite so easy to please- I could walk them to Timbuktu and back and they still wouldn't be tired and they could be fed constantly all day and they still wouldn't be full up!

So when browsing in Pets At Home a little while ago, a little yellow box caught my eye, and on closer inspection I realised they were these Pedigree Biscrok, the biscuits I use to buy for Ruby's bedtime treat years ago, so with fond memories of the past set firmly in my mind, I decided to purchase a box to try with Grace and Benson.

These biscuits are nothing special! They are simply hard, crunchy bone shaped dog biscuits that have been oven baked to make them a tasty and healthy treat that is also very good for the teeth and gums, helping to give them a good scrub clean thus helping to remove plaque and tartar whilst your dog tucks into a tasty snack.

The treats, which come in an assortment of chicken, beef and marrowbone flavours, also have the added benefits of calcium for strong teeth and bones, omega 3 for a soft shiny coat and supple skin and lastly, various vitamins and minerals to help promote overall well being and are suitable for dogs of all ages, breeds and sizes!

*Packaging*
The biscuits come packaged in an eye catching cardboard box which follows the red and yellow colour scheme of all the Pedigree products. Although the box has changed slightly since the picture here on dooyoo, it still carries the same basic information such as product name and the Pedigree rosette logo and then on the reverse all the usual garbage such as ingredients, nutritional information, feeding guides and contact details for Pedigree.

*Price & Availability*
Pedigree Biscrok are relatively popular treats so therefore available in most of the larger supermarkets and pet stores, both online and off. I tend to purchase them from Pets At Home where they are available in two pack sizes. Firstly 500g for £1.09 and then a bigger 1.5kg box can be purchased for £3.99.

*My opinion*
Grace and Benson have got monster appetites so as well as their two normal daily meals, they tend to get a fair few little treats throughout the day to help keep them going, and hopefully preventing them from giving the ''poor starving puppy dog eyes'' to anyone who is willing to give them the time of day!

Because of this, I like to change the brands and types I buy them often, to prevent them from getting bored, so I was quite surprised recently when I spotted these Pedigree Biscrok in Pets At Home and realised that the terrible twosome hadn't yet tried them, so I didn't hesitate in popping a box in my basket for them. It was also nice buying them once again as it brought back lovely memories of the beautiful Ruby, who lost her battle with cancer on May 24th last year.

Back at home I opened up and the box straight away and digged in to retrieve a couple of the familiar little biscuits for Grace and Benson. They still haven't changed a bit- they are small biscuits, only around an inch and a half long and a centimetre or so thick and either pale red, cream or a light brown colour, depending on the flavour with no real scent to them, they quite simply smell how you would expect biscuits made of cereal and meat to smell like!

Regardless of the lack of scent however, it didn't spot Grace and Benson gathering at my feet and waiting somewhat patiently for their biccie. From the first bite, it is quite safe to say that both dogs loved them. The Biscrok appear much harder and crunchier than other dog biscuits such as the Winalot Shapes but I was actually pleased by this fact, as they are obviously very good for their teeth. The biscuits are relatively small, so they didn't really touch the sides when being chomped by Grace and Benson but the hard texture did force them to take a moment longer crunching them before swallowing, so they did last fractions of a second longer than other dog biscuits do.

I suppose you could say it was love at first bite for Grace and Benson with these biscuits! Sorry, I'll get my coat.

Anyway, not long after the first box was brought and demolished, these biscuits have become a regular purchase once again. When the dogs wake up in the morning, they are given a small snack to tide them over until after their walk when they will come back and have breakfast, and I've found these Pedigree Biscrok biscuits to be a perfect choice for their pre-walkie munchies. Three biscuits each are small and light enough not to cause the dogs to be too full whilst out walking, yet they provide a fairly filling snack to stop rumbling tummies.

Another thing I like about these biscuits is of course, the price! They may not be the cheapest dog biscuits available- Wilkinson's own brand hold the title for that as far as I have found- but they are still exceptionally good value. I tend to buy the smaller 500g box, so the biscuits stay nice and fresh and that contains around 50 or 60 biscuits, which I feel is pretty good for just £1.09.

As a human, I really don't see the fascination with these biscuits, they look plain and boring to me! They aren't coated in any meaty coverings or filling with dual flavoured chewy centres like some dog treats are today, they are simply plain crunchy biscuits, yet there is something about them that dogs adore. Both Grace and Benson can't get enough of them, and neither could Ruby previously to them. Pedigree aren't known for brilliant quality ingredients in their products, but they are certainly doing something right in the making of these biscuits to get the approval of not one, not two, but three canine biscuit connoisseurs!

As long as Grace and Benson are enjoying these treats, I will be continuing to buy them. They are good value for money, brilliant for the teeth, clean and easy to feed and most importantly, Grace and Benson love them, which seals the deal for me.

Then of course there are all the added benefits of the calcium, vitamins, minerals and omega 3 contained within the biscuits, so they really do get a thumbs up from all concerned in this household.

Summary: A great, cheap treat from Pedigree which Grace & Benson love!
