Advantages: Dogs love them.

Disadvantages: There is never enough in a packet!

Scamp (my older dog) loves them and would eat the whole packet if I let her and Shaggie (my new puppy of 10 months old) nicks them from the cupboard.
Scamp (my elderly dog) recently celebrated her 14th Birthday and from her toy (dog) boy, Pepsi, she was given a box of Markies. The reaction that Scamp and Honey (my sister in law?s dog) was one of extreme pleasure. I shook the box and both dogs came running. As I open the box, both dogs sat waiting in expectation. As I remove the first biscuit, the dogs? eyes widened. Scamp had the first and took it under my workstation to eat it within about a two minutes. Honey ?asked nicely? for hers and took it to her bed to eat. Both dogs came back for more and more and yet more!

**What are Markies**

Markies are a biscuit specifically designed for dogs that contain real marrowbone, made by Pedigree Chum. This is a natural source, which is rich in calcium and phosphorous, aiding with maintaining strong teeth and bones for dogs.

Markies is a biscuit in two halves. The outside is a crunchy, creamy white biscuit, resembling a ?dog bone?. The inside the outer causing can be found a brown centre, looking like bone marrow. This is actually real marrowbone mixed with whole grain cereal.

**Dietary Information**

The packaging states that there are no artificial flavourings or colours in this product. It has cereal, meat and animal derivatives, sugars, oils and fats. There are also minerals and vegetable derivatives making this an ideal complementary to any dog?s diet.

**Packaging**

Markies come in a variety of packet sizes. The packets are yellow with a red rosette and white writing outlined in black. It is bright and colourful and therefore is easy to find on the shelves of the shop.

There are packets containing four biscuits for around 25p. Scamp?s box was a 500g box costing around £1.00. These can be found in most supermarkets and pet stores. The biscuits can also be brought loose at many pet stores and larger bags are available.

Scamp seems to like her birthday treat. In the space of ten minutes, she managed to eat three biscuits. Scamp is a medium sized dog so still can have another seven biscuits, today.

I hope the dogs are doing well. Katy likes Rewards best, but she's only got a small mouth being a Jack Russell/Chihuahua ;-)
