Having acquired a small dog, we felt the need for this dog to have a clean every so often. Being novice's at this, we spent many a time in Pets at Home buying various items to assist in making our life and the puppie's life much easier. We came across this Puppy Shampoo and being as it was the cheapest there, we got it.

The cost is £3.99 for 500ml, which isn't to bad. It says it is mildly scented, but having used it a number of times, I haven't smelt any scent from it.

Our puppy absolutely hates having a bath. He hates getting wet and has a real sad puppy face on when we take him to the bath. He knows what is coming and gives you those eyes that say please don't, not today, I'll be good. Being a fawn Pug, with a beautiful light fawn colour, it is essential to get past these eyes and wash the pup.

Now, after wetting the wee lad, I then put a small dollop of the shampoo in my hands, much the same for my own hair. Strangely, for someone that hates being wet and the whole process of a bath, G really likes the shampoo being applied. He will happily just stare at you while you massage it into all his fur and give it a thorough wash through. I find that while applying the shampoo, it does tend to run off quite quickly through his wet fur and I do sometimes have to get a 2nd dollop to make sure he is completely washed.

It is very simple to wash the shampoo out of his fur, taking mere seconds (his only small) to completely rinse him off. Then the real fun begins, he has to be dried. This is worse than washing him. A bit of perserverence though see's him dry and it is amazing.

His coat is lovely and shiny, clean and he just looks so much cleaner than before. Even if he wasn't that dirty beforehand, you really notice it after washing him. If you want your puppy to have a beautiful coat, then I would use this everytime.

Summary: I like my puppy to be clean and he is.
