When I first saw this product in it's shiny box on the shelf in the pet store, I thought I'd ask a bit more about it cos it looked pretty funky! I was enquiring about the Pink Starter home, as I couldnt really afford anything other than that. The Pink starter home consists of a main room, with a built in exercise wheel, an attic room ... O.k... We've had the Rotastak "Mission Pod" for a week now.. along with our little furry friend. - Neither of them are new to me.. having had two hamsters when I was younger.. and a rotastak cage along with them. I have to say.. this NEW rotastak cage is a lot more pleasing to the eye... and the neon yellow space theme I will ... Read the complete review

The Rotastak cage isnt as bad as some people think. The bad points are that it is really expensive and for a 13yr old - like me- paying for one can get ex-ensive. Also, it is quite hard to put together and having big hands makes it even more problematic ( this also makes it difficult to clean). BUT for my hamster, flapjack , it was the best. He ... I have now bought 2 of these. The fair ground magic and the space command one. I am waiting for the mission pod as well and have got the extra tubes too. The thing everyone compains about is putting these together, yes the first time yoodoo it will be difficult and possibly take youup to hald an hour, but really its not as hard as you ... I've had a Rotastak for years, and I've only ever kept gerbils in them, so I'm not sure how good they are as "hamster cages" but I know that gerbils tend to be fine in them. I need some more to add to mine (expensive) since I lost some of the old parts with not keeping gerbils for a while now, but if you fill one part with bedding, they ... Read the complete review

I've had 8 hamsters now and have used a mix of rotastak cages and wire cages (with plastic tray bottoms), as we've often had 2 at any one time. the first was a tiny wire cage and the hamster only lasted 6 months. tbf it probably died of boredom, i'd hardly be surprised. for the 2nd we got a rotastak prism shaped pod, which sandie absolutely loved ... I bought a rotastak hamster cage 3months ago and the little thing has escaped 5 times already, i have all the joints and attachments cellotaped together now as the hamster can now open the tubes that are fixed together, luckily we found her each time she has escaped even though once she got out the front door and ended up in a house over the road from us and half way up the street, does anyone know how i could contact rotastak as i cant find an address or email. I would not advise buying one of these cages as i dont think they are very safe for hamsters and they are not worth the money you pay.

Rotastak cages are a popular choice when it comes to hamster caging, and very attractive to children. They are plastic cages with wire panels that connect with tubes, in a similar manner to the Habitrail cages, which tend to be better known. Although they are very similar, Rotastak and Habitrail have their own strong ... Read the complete review

I have had many hamsters as a child and now I have 3 gerbils and they have all lived in some form of Rotastak cage. The best one that I have found to be is the kidney shaped one with the seperate additions as his gives quite a large surface area whilst still providing interest from the additional tunnels and cages. It's also good as no ... Read the complete review

I have just spent a bit of time researching rotastak cages and found it amuzing to read how people have found it difficulte to handle rotastak. i have found that over the last 5 years that i have never had a problem with it and i can believe people could. rotastak is wonderful and its brilliant espically for dwarf hamsters as it gives them everything that they could ask for out of a cage. i would recomed rotastak anytime, you just need to remember too check your joins before you put your hamster in and also put it on a propar table....

I got a great deal (i think) on my rotastak "space command" cage. I got it from pets at home with £10 off and they included a free box of goodies with every rotastak cage that got purchased that weekend. I spent £40 altogether on it and my two dwarf hamsters love it. The only problem is that the massive tube going from the bottom to top is a bit awkward to clean out. apart from that, i am very happy with the deal and cage that i got.

We have 3 rotastak cages, the adventure zone, creepy castle and the pirate ship, they are very good cages, we have never had a hamster escape from them, they are easy to clean and they are easy to get the hamster in and out of, you can have them anyway you like aswell, you can have them all on one level if you are worried about dwarf hamsters not being able to climb tubes

Take our two teenagers, a girl and a boy; add to that a house full of pets and it was only a matter of time before they would want a pet of their own. So when our teenagers came with us to the pet shop we had a feeling that they would look to see what was on offer. Our normal twenty minute trip to pick up food for the pets turned into a two hour ... Read the complete review
