Advantages: Fantastic value
Disadvantages: None
A bit of background first. I have two bengal boy cats, both 19 months old now. Bengals are renowned for having "dodgy tummies" which generally means certain foods can be too rich and (whilst not getting too graphic) can pass right through.
One of my boys had a severe stomach problem when I got him, and was diaganosed with a rare problem. Thankfully with tablets this was cleared within 6 months, however I was only able to feed both of them on real chicken. This was very expensive, and also not that great for them as they were not getting all of the essential vitamins and minerals they needed.
I spoke to my vet about my concerns and she recommended Royal Canin and told me about a variety of biscuit called Sensible 33 which is specifically designed for cats with digestive problems and sensitivity.
I started to gradually feed my cats the biscuits, on the basis that I would phase out the chicken gradually, whilst adding more biscuits (so in turn the biscuits would be their main source of nutrician). I was slightly weary of this, for no other reason than the cats had never really been interested in biscuits. But how i was to be surprised.
The biscuits themselves are a fair size, and actually smell quite "meaty". Both cats fill up on them, which is no mean feat with these two hoovers. They still get a bit of chicken every now and again, but they dont seem that bothered if they dont get it as they really enjoy the biscuits.
Not only are they good health wise with all of the vitamins etc. but they are fantastic at keeping their teeth healthy with all of the crunching they have to do. And the massive 10Kg bag, although a fairly large outlay at first, is brilliant value over the long term. It also comes vacum packed and once opened is still a fairly small bag allowing you to keep it almost anywhere - but i would suggest out of reach of the furry paws of your felines, one of mine had to be pulled out of the bag as he got in it.
I thoroughly recommend these biscuits, and so do my two furry monsters.
Summary: Great biscuits for health and wellbeing of your kitties.
