Advantages: Cats seem to enjoy it and feel full after

Disadvantages: Price

Persian 30 by Royal Canin is a breed specific food that focuses on particular areas that certain breeds need in their food, for example in this case they prevent hairballs which Persians with their long coats suffer from. Royal Canin is a dry cat food in the form of small little biscuits, Persian 30 contains lots of things that help Persians, it helps keep a nice coat and caters for the specific needs of Persians.

My cats (which are Persians) personally love this food. If I give them a bowl of this food they will be totally full up and will spend the rest of the day asleep and behaving themselves. When I give them ordinary wet food they will constantly be hungery and wanting more as any type of wet food never seems to satisfy their appetite, so Persian 30 is better than wet food in that respect.

The only problems I have with this food is one, it is incredibly expensive especially if you have a lot of hungery cats but it does depend where you get it from, it is normally about £16-£18 a 1kg bag it really varies. And two, it is quite hard to find a place that stocks it as most pet shops don`t bother due to lack of demand.

Overall I think this is a good pet food especially for Persians, and definitely recommend trying your Persians with it, however I would recommend buying a small bag first to see if they like it as some Persians do not like dry food :-)

Summary: This is a good cat food and is worth a try

I think all these breed specific cat/dog foods are a bit of a con personally.
